SHOCK HANDLING TIPS
For Short Tracks
Use one step softer all around when racing on a Race Track shorter than ½ Mile.
For Very Fast Tracks
Use one step stiffer on the RR; maybe on the RF as needed for more control and stability. A 50 / 50 valving will always give excellent high speed traction, and will help balance the car at corner exit.
For Tacky Tracks
Use stiffer 50 / 50 on the RR to hold the car up, in and thru corner. This will also reduce the car's tendency to ride on the cushion. A stiffer rebound on the LR (like a 6196 / 5) may help to the keep the rear end down going through the corner.
For Hard, Slick Tracks
Both front shocks should have a lot softer rebound to promote more front end lift and weight transfer to rear. If the RF is softer than the LF, it will transfer a bit more to the LR coming out. If the RF has slightly more compression control than the LF, the car won't roll onto the RF so badly when entering a corner.
An Example LF = 6193 / 5, RF 6192 / 6
For High Speed Dry / Slick Tracks
Use a bit more rebound control than on short tracks, but less than on regular tracks. Gives lift off the turn but retains high speed stability.
An Example LF = 6195, RF = 6194 / 6
