SET YOUR LASH

Ok for you guys that use Hydraulic lifters and cams..You can pass on this section.  But all of you out there that run Solid lifters and Cams need to go by these guide lines when setting your Valve Lash.

1. Set your INTAKE Lash When the EXH Valve just starts to open.
2. Set Your EXH Lash When the INTAKE Valve just starts to close.
3. if setting lash when cold: Always allow at least 2 thousandths for materials when they get up to temp.
4. Never Under adjust or over tighten Solid Lifters You can flatten cam lobes or bend pushrods, or you can spin your rocker arms right off the pushrod.

This is the only way you should adjust your Valve Lash.  For more information consult your manufacture of cam for specs on settings
